Chapter Programs & Activities

  • A military educational experience designed for High School JROTC cadets!

Future military officers learn about St. Augustine military history.

Cadets experience interaction with former military officers from all branches of the services.

They get to share a real military field experience - eating a Meal, Ready to Eat [MRE].

All participating Cadets earn a MOAA-ACC Military Heritage Trail Ride Patch.

Educational – informative – and just plain ole’ fun!

  • Each Memorial Day, MOAA-ACC and the Veterans Council of St Johns County assisted by Florida National Guard, conduct a ceremony honoring those who have given their all for their country. The names of those that have passed in the last year are recognized in a reading at the St. Augustine National Cemetery.

  • Every November, the Veterans Council of St Johns County Council and MOAA-ACC conduct a ceremony to honor all Veterans who have served and are currently serving.

  • Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at our local St. Augustine National Cemetery.

Wreaths are laid at each burial plot in the cemetery.

  • The Military Officers Association of America – Ancient City Chapter sponsors an Annual Sporting Clay Shootout Fundraiser at the Saltwater Shooting Club.

Four Man Teams compete for prizes and glory.

Top Gun honors goes to the person with the highest score.

Volunteers always cook-up a tasty meal for the Awards Luncheon.

The event raises money to benefit High School JROTC Cadets and support opportunities and programs for Community Veterans.

See you at our next event!

  • The MOAA-ACC Board of Directors has voted to explore hosting a St Augustine Military Ball in early 2025. Please stay-tuned for further details.
